Baby Steps

Progress is being made, baby steps though they are. We met with our HOA and have received approval of our plans. Next step is the City of Mission Viejo. Hopefully they will like the plans as much as the architectural review board did. Of course we are taking these steps under the assumption that when it is time to build Allstate will be ready to write some checks.

We did hear from them today, though not with regards to our claim, they have dropped the suit against Lenox. It seems that there is no clear evidence that the furnace was the cause of the fire. I guess the cause will remain a mystery and while I am glad that we were spared the trauma of watching our house burn down, I sort of wish there was a CSI sort of re-creation that would give us some insight as to what exactly happened.
