All is quiet in this big beautiful house and since I can't sleep I thought I'd take a minute to update you. We are moved in to our "new home". Thanks to the Lombranos for the weekend sleepover and great party favor - their guest bed! Now the kids each have a twin bed to sleep in.
Aidan has the stomach flu after all so he'll be home with me today but Alyssa is excited to go back to school and see her friends. Buddy and Max are thrilled to be here but they are missing Griffin Glum who let them snuggle on his sofa all weekend.
Mike is meeting and adjuster/inspector/important person this morning and then will bring things out of our neighbors (the Pahomi's) garage. Thanks for all the offers of help. I think we have it under control now, sadly, there isn't that much. But we will need help again when they let us in to get the contents of our kitchen out so I'll keep you posted.
Spirits are up, those prayers for peace are working so keep 'em coming.

Ya know I was thinking how these type of unthinkable disasters that bring you closer to your family friends and strangers and then how the small day to day stuff like a child home with the flu that make this moment in time a vivid memory to share for years to come...luv ya lots and can't wait to see ya'll!
